A sensitive refurbishment of a Grade II listed landmark, transforming a former bank into a vital city-centre health hub for Sheffield.
The new Health Hub brings two GP practices, Changing Places facilities and flexible healthcare spaces into Sheffield city centre. Located within the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on High Street, the project transforms a vacant listed building into an accessible, welcoming place for community healthcare while retaining its civic presence. Strategic demolition creates a new public entrance and enables efficient clinical layouts supporting modern care. The scheme responds to the need for centrally located health services for Sheffield’s growing city centre population. Developed through collaboration with GP practices, accessibility groups and the Council, the design balances heritage conservation with contemporary healthcare requirements and an improved patient experience.
